LUNT FONTANNE THEATER

LUNT FONTANNE THEATER
This theater was built in 1910 as the Globe, when most of its shows were plays, until the 1920s when it staged more musicals. From mid-1932 until 1957, the theater was a movie house and in 1958, the theater was refurbished and renamed the Lunt-Fontanne after the famous acting couple. The Lunt-Fontanne is now a Broadway theater owned by the Nederlander Organization. There is a small display of private photos of Alfred Lunt and Lynn Fontanne in the lobby areas of the theater.
